Answer:

Rebecca ate
(1)/(15) th of a pie.

Solution:

Let assume quantity of a pie = x

Given that Maria ate
(1)/(3) of a pie

Which means quantity of pie which Maria ate =
(1)/(3) of x

=
(1)/(3) * x = (x)/(3)

Quantity of pie Rebecca ate is
(1)/(5) of what Maria ate

Which means quantity of pie Rebecca ate =
(1)/(5) of (quantity of pie which Maria ate)

=
(1)/(5) of (x)/(3)

=
(1)/(5) * (x)/(3)

=
(x)/(15)

Fraction of whole pie Rebecca eat = quantity of pie Rebecca ate divide by total quantity

= (x/15) divided by x =
(1)/(15)

Hence Rebecca ate
(1)/(15) th of a pie.
