Solving by elimination you get
-4y=-12
Dividing by -4 gives you y=3
Plugging in y into the first equation gives you
x+3=-4
Subtracting by 3 on each side gives you x=-7
So your answers are x=-7 and y=3 or the ordered pair (-7,3)
Hope this helps!!!
