The formation of fossil fuels differs from one another. It is based on the previous organisms that lived in the area. Petroleum and natural are liquid fossil fuels derived from the remains of sea creatures at the ocean's bottom. Coal, on the other hand, is a solid fuel made from the remains of swamp plants.
