24 + x + x = -46

Since it's three numbers and two of them are equal, you just write the same letter for it (you can choose whichever one you want).

Work out the equation written to get the other two numbers

24 + x + x = -46

24 + 2x = -46 Add the two x's together

-24 -24 Subtract 24 from both sides to cancel it out and leave 2x alone

2x = -72 Divide by 2


(2x)/(2) = (-72)/(2)


x = -36

So the three numbers would be 24, -36, and -36
