The number of friends that paid for the bill is 14

To calculate the number of friend we have add all the bills together then divide it by the number of fiends and equate it to 16

Represent the number of friends that shared the bills by x

Total number of bill = 82 + 28 + 52 + 33 + 29

= 224

Each person paid $16

therefore;

224/x = 16

16x = 224

x = 224/16

x = 14

Therefore 14 friends shared the bill.
