The average goes up by 0.6.

Explanation:

The average of the original data set, 6,6,7,8,9 is 7.2. The average of the new data set with 3 more cookbooks 6,7,8,9,9 is 7.8. Therefore it increases by 0.6, hope that makes sense :)
