Answer:

Schwann cell is found in the central nervous system and it is named after the German scientist who discovered it. Schwann cells are initiated during any nervous injury and helps in the regeneration of the dead cell. The DNA protein in the Schwann cell helps to revert the damaged cells back to their original form.

When an Axon gets distorted in the peripheral nervous system the myelin sheath is provided from the Schwann cells. Hence the absence of these cells will not induce the formation of new cell by resulting in deformed or immature repair.
