Answer: Negative 3 over 2

Explanation:

Let's start here and think about it. How do you find the slope? Is there an equation to even find the slope? The answer to that last question... yes! There is an equation to find the slope!

But first there is an equation that involves the slope and the line. It's called the linear equation. What is the linear equation? well the equation is y=mx+b. What are these symbols though?

y= outcome

m= the slope

b= y-intercept

Okay so we now know this but how does that helps us find the slope. Well there's another equation to learn here. To find the slipe we have to divide the difference by the two points we are given (hint hint the points on the graph hint)

So what are the points? they are (-3, 2) and (-1,-1). And what is the equation we need to use? The equation is y₂₋y₁ divided by x₂-x₁. So now look at the two coordinates or points we are given.

(-3, 2) and (-1, -1). They both have an x and y, correct? Correct! But here's the thing. The first coordinnate points will be 1 and the second points would be two. So now we label them

-3= x₁ 2= y₁ -1= x₂ -1=y₂ label them

(-1-2) ÷ (-1-(-3) subtract

(-3) ÷ (-1-(-3) (REMEMBER THIS!! => (a negative number subtracted by a negative number makes it a positive so... -(-3)= +3) So...

(-1-(-3) equals to (-1+3) which equals to -2

-3/2 equals the slope! So the answer is literally Negative 3 over 2!

I'm sorry if I typed alot, usually I don't and it has been awhile since I answered this question. I really do hope this helped, if not please don't be afraid to ask questions, message me or even comment!! I hope this help! :D
