Median:

Arrange in ascending order:

111, 129, 144, 149, 152, 162, 166, 171

Median = 149+152/2 = 301/2 = 150.5

Range = 171 - 111 = 60

Mean is finding average. ie find the sum and divide by the number of items.

Median is the middle number after arranging in ascending or descending order. if no. of items is odd, then median is the middle number. If no. of items is even, then average of the middle two terms.

Range is difference between highest and lowest.
