Mean, Median, and Mode are measures used in statistics to identify central value of data sets. Each of the measures use different approaches to identify central value.

Mean refers to arithmetic average that is calculated by adding all given data sets and then divide the sum by the number of pieces in given data set. For example,
14+10+9+21+ 5 = (59)/(5) = 11.8

Median refers to centre most value of the orderly data set. If we have odd number of data value in the given data collection, then the data value is in the middle. If we have even number of data values in the data set, then the median value is the mean of two points in the middle.

For example, in the odd number data set, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 median value is 5. In the even number data set, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 it is calculated as
5+(6)/(2), which is 5.5

Mode refers to commonly occurring data value in the given data set. For example, in the given data set, 5, 4, 5, 7, 5, 9, 4, 5, 6, 5 frequently occurring number is 5.
