Can anyone please help me with this math question?

Name the coordinate of P(-4, 9) under a translation under the vector of <3, -1>.

To translate a point according to some vector, you simply have to add the coordinates of the vector to those of the points.

So, the effect of the translation is


P=(-4, 9) \mapsto (-4+3, 9-1) = (-1, 8)
