I have the answers. I just need help showing my work plz :)

Explanation:

Given, x=3y and y=x+4

y=3y+4.... substituting x=3y

y-3y=4

-2y=4

y=-2

Then substitute -2 either in x=3y or y=x+4 equations

x=3(-2)

=-6
