Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

input and output are essentially variables

input is the variables in the equation that you put into the number

the output is the answer you get once you put in the input

(I hope that helps, usually i am good at explaining using numbers than in words)

ex#1: 10=output input=x

f(x)=10, find x when

f(x)=2x+6

so when you are solving the input, you just are solving for for a variable (in this case it's x)

so... 10=2x+6

x=2

But if you are looking for the outputs, you just plug in the variable's value and solve in the equation.

ex#2: Find
f(x)= 2x^2+3x+5 when f(2)

So what you do to find the output(answer), you just plug in the number that is in the f(x), in this case it's 2

2(2)^(2)+3(2)+5=(8+6+5)= 19
