1.) first you must add in all the triangles in both sides

(on the left there was 4 of -x and on the right there was 2 of x)

leaving it to:

(-4x)+__=(2x)+__

2.) add in all the circles from both sides

(on the left side, there was 8 positive one circles and on the right, there was 4 of negative 1 circles)

leaving the equation being:

-4x+(8)=2x+(-4)

2.) Simplify the equation

-4x+8=2x-4
