Owen's parents were planning a big birthday party for him. (a) His parents spent $3.49 on each of 6 goodie bags. How much did they spend on goodie bags?

(b) They spent $120 to rent a bounce house for 8 hours. How much is the hourly rate for the rental?

(c) If the parents spent a total of $192.53 on the party, how much more did they spend than what was spent in parts (a) and (b)?

3.49 * 6 = 20.94

They spend $20.94 on goodie bags.

120/8 = 15

The hourly rate for the rental is $15.

15 + 20.94 = 35.94

192.53 - 35.94 = 156.59

They spend $156.59 more then what was spend in parts a and b.

Hey!

—————————————————

Part A:

6 x 3.49 = $20.94

They spent $20.94 on six goodie bags.

—————————————————

Part B:

120 / 8 = $15

To rent the bouncy house it will cost $15 per hour.

—————————————————

Part C:

120 + 20.94 = $140.94

192.53 - 140.94 = $51.59

The parents spent $51.59 more then what was spent in parts a and b.

—————————————————

Hope This Helped! Good Luck!
