Answer:

Distance, d = 526.85 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

Speed of the car, u = 30 m/s

As it comes down, v = 0

It is travelling up a 5 degrees slope. Let d is the distance it coast before starting to roll back down. Let d is the distance. It is calculated as :

d=(v^2-u^2)/(2a)

a is the acceleration. For an inclined plane,
a=g\ sin\theta

d=(v^2-u^2)/(2g\ sin\theta)

Putting all the values in above formula as :

d=(-(30)^2)/(2* 9.8* \ sin(5))

d = -526.85 meters

So, it will coast 526.85 meters before starting to roll back down. Hence, this is the required solution.
