First find the slope
Let’s use these points as an example (8,4) and (6,2)
Slope equation is = Y-y/x-x
So
4-2/8-6 Which is 2/2 which is 1
Then you put that into the line equation
The well known equation is y=sx+b
Where s is slope, y is the y coordinate and x is the x coordinate
So it would be y=1x + b
Then you put your coordinates in. You can choose any so let’s choose the coordinates (8,4)
Btw we are finding b from the equation y=sx+b <=

8=1 times 4 + b
8=4+b
b=4
And there you go, the equation is
Y= x+4
For the points (8,4) and (6,2)
I really hope this helps, instead of making you even more confused
