A team of researchers wants to test the hypothesis that drinking wine makes people like jazz more. They randomly assign college students who are 21 or over to one room in which they will drink wine and listen to jazz or to another room in which they will drink water and listen to jazz. When the subjects are tested in different environments there's a chance those changes in the factors may affect the result, for example, in this case, in the "water room" they will be experiencing a less pleasing moment affecting counsciously or unconsciosly the possibility of enjoyng the music, and this factor is also present in the "wine room" but in the opposite way, the setup of the room will affect the subjects in a way they more likely will enjoy the moment and therefore liking jazz music but not merely because of wine.
