Let’s assume that your checking account has overdraft protection. Now, let’s say you forget to check how much money you have in your checking account, and you write a check for $40.00 from your checking account even though you do not have enough money. What happens as a result?

As a result they would still give you the money but then you would have to pay a fee but it would be less if you did not have the overdraft protection.
