Mila signed up for a streaming music service that costs $12 per month. The service allows Mila to listen to unlimited music, but if she wants to download songs for offline listening, the service charges $0.50 per song. How much total money would Mila have to pay in a month in which she downloaded 20 songs? How much would she have to pay if she downloaded s songs?

Answer: $22.00

Explanation:

$ 12.00 per month and the extra 20 songs

0.50 × 20 = $ 10.00

$12.00 + 10.00 = $22.00

Answer: a) $17, b)
12+0.50s

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Cost per month = $12

Cost per song = $0.50

Number of songs downloaded = 20

According to question, we get that

12+0.50* 10\\\\=12+5\\\\=17

She has to pay $17 if she downloaded 20 songs.

If the number of songs = s

So, Amount she has to pay is given by

12+0.50s

Hence, a) $17, b)
12+0.50s
