Answer:

Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. The main purpose of psychology is to recognize and understand several situations that mainly occur in the mind. Some of these situations include mental illnesses, educational problems, etc.. The ability to recognize these situations only comes if you properly research the patterns and behavior of someone who has these situations occurring to themselves. It is similar to being a medical doctor; to diagnose someone, you have to be able to recognize what symptoms they have and how that relates to an illness or some-other.
