Similarities between DNA and RNA

DNA and RNA are alike due to the following reasons:

  • DNA and RNA, both acts as hereditary material for living organism.
  • Both of them are nucleic acid which is composed of four bases and a sugar.
  • Both have phosphate back-ground.
  • Both plays a vital role in the gene expression process which leads to the formation of protein.
  • The site of the location of both DNA and RNA is the nucleus.
