Answer:

weight % of water in dry wood come output = 3.05 %

and weight % of wood in dry wood come output = 96.95 %

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

mass of wood = 150 kg

moisture = 11%

water come out = 12.3 kg

to find out

dry wood output percentages

solution

we know that moisture in wet wood is = 11% = 11%of 150

moisture in wet wood = 16.5 kg

wood in wet wood = mass of wet wood - moisture in wet wood

= 150 - 16.5

= 133.5 kg

so

water mass balance will be here

water in wet wood = water remove + water in dry wood

16.5 = 12.3 + water in dry wood

water in dry wood = 4.2 kg

and

wood mass balance is here

wood in wet wood = wood in water remove + wood in dry wood

133.5 = 0 + wood in dry wood

wood in dry wood = 133.5 kg

so we can say

dry wood contain here

wood = 133.5 kg

water = 4.2 kg

so total is = 137.7 kg

so

weight % of water in dry wood come output =
(4.2)/(137.7) = 3.05 %

and weight % of wood in dry wood come output =
(133.5)/(137.7) = 96.95 %
