3 2/5 x 2 1/3 rewrite

12/5 x 7/3 convert into fractions instead of mixed fraction then multiply straight across

Answer:

The product of
3_(5)^(2) and
2_(3)^(1) is
6_(19)^(1)

Solution:

Here we have to multiply two numbers that is
3_(5)^(2) and
2_(3)^(1) which are in mixed form. We first convert them in fraction form to get the final product.

The number
3_(5)^(2) can be written in fraction form as
([(5 * 3)+2])/(5)=(17)/(5)

The number
2_(3)^(1) can be written in fraction form as
([3 * 2)+1])/(3)=(7)/(3)

Therefore multiplying
(17)/(5) * (7)/(3) we get ,

(17)/(5) * (7)/(3)=(119)/(15)

When we divide 119 by 15 we get 6 as quotient and 1 as remainder.

Therefore
(119)/(15) can be written in mixed form as
6_(19)^(1)
