HELP!!!!!! ITS URGENT

Of the ideas from the Enlightenment, the concept that man has the right to life and liberty are key to the Declaration of Independence. Do you think this is still an important concept in the United States today? If not, why not? If so, how does this idea manifest itself in our country today?

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

The idea that man has a right to life and liberty is an inalienable concept, even with the modern United States. It is enshrined in the constitution. I believe that it is still an important concept within the country. I think that this can be identified and shown through recent political movements. In particular the rise and support of the 'Black Lives Matter' movement is testament to the fact that people still feel that their rights to 'life and liberty' are being threatened. If we look slightly further back then there are clear mass movements that erupt when the populace of the United States feel that this is being threatened. Another example of this are the Rodney King riots that erupted in the 1990's.
