The people who do things opposite to what they actually belief is cognitive dissonance.
For example: if a person aim's is to become doctor but, due to some situation they choose some other stream is something called cognitive dissonance issue. So if the people have belief on their aim, then they shouldn’t choose different streams apart from their aim.
Whereas if a person aims to become doctor and if he fulfils then it is called the principle of justification of effort.
So then there will be question, will everybody have a cognitive dissonance issue. Then the answer would be partially yes and partially no. Only the ratio differs. People’s whose ratio of cognitive dissonance is high will have this problem.
