Answer:

Agriculture is a key sector of the economy of the United States. It is the third agricultural power in the world, behind China and the European Union. The sector employs approximately 2% of the working population.

There are more than 2.5 million farms and 400 million hectares of useful agricultural area, that produce a lot of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton and alfalfa, with also an important breeding. The majority of agricultural production is found in the Great Plains, as well as the San Joaquin Valley (California).
