Answer:

z = -7

x = 1.6

There is no equation in what you typed on the third lie so it cannot be solved (equal sign is missing)

x = - 132/7

Explanation:

For all cases the goal is to isolate the unknown (represented by a letter) on one side of the equal sign by using mathematical operations simultaneously on both sides.

In the first equation, to isolate z we need to subtract 4 from both sides:

-3=z+4\\-3-4=z+4-4\\-3-4=z\\z=-7

In the second equation: in order to isolate x we need to get rid of the factor 4 that is multiplying x, therefore we use the division by 4 on both sides:

6.4=4x\\(6.4)/(4)=(4x)/(4)  \\1.6=x

The third expression you wrote doesn't contain an equal sign and therefore it s not an equation (cannot be solved)

In the last equation, in order to isolate x we need to divide both sides by 7 and also to multiply both sides by 33:

-4=(7)/(33) x\\(-4*33)/(7) =(7*33)/(33*7) x\\(-132)/(7) = x\\x=-(132)/(7)
