We have to find the percentage change when I increase $3.00 to $4.50

To calculate the percentage change we use the below given formula


\text { Percentage change }=\frac{\text {Final value-Initial value}}{\text {Initial value}} * 100

Hence the initial value is $ 3.00 and the final value is $4.50.

Substituting the initial and final values in the formula we get,


\text { Percentage change }=(4.50-3.00)/(3.00) * 100 \%


=(1.50)/(3.00) * 100 \%


=(1)/(2) * 100 \%

Therefore the percentage change from $3.00 to $4.50 is 50%
