The formula always starts with “=” sign. Any formula which is entered without equal sign will be considered as normal text and there will not be any special processing or calculation. When we enter the formula, the result will be calculated after pressing enter key or when we navigate to next cell.
When we once again move the cell where we entered formula, it will display only the result and it shows the formula only in the formula bar. Any modification to be made is to be done in the formula bar only.
