Answer:

"Caedmon" was a "cowherd" who later became a "monk". The excerpt describes Caedmon as someone who was once lost and later was found. He did not realize he had the gift of song until a miracle happen which made him believe that he did. Caesar a pioneer among the Romans. The excerpt also depicts Caesar as a very shrewd man.

With a subdued Gaul, Julius seemed drenched with the Britain expedition. However, it was almost the end of the campaigning season, and he was doubtful and had conquest for surveillance, which created strength. He, therefore, decided to drop so that he would increase his heritage while at home, which he always wanted to postpone recalling on Rome. This is the place where his enemies were likely to find him, and it is the British who encouraged him, as he wanted to use the "Romans" as friends.
