There are no human settlements there except some small groups. The area is dry therefore there are very unusual range of flora and fauna who are able to survive those dry conditions. There is also a Africa's 3rd largest park named Namib Naukluft Park. Sandwich harbour is a paradise for nature lovers. It has fresh water and is a home for various coastal birds. But camping is not permitted here at certain times in year.
