The hourly wage for an employee is $11.5 per hour. The employee also earns 80 cents for each item they manufacture during the workday. If an employee works h hours and produces q items on a certain day, write an algebraic expression that represents the employee's salary (in dollars) for the day.

x = 11.5h+.8q

Explanation:

x = the total salary made in a day

11.5 represents the 11.5 he earns per hour. You then add this to the 80 cents (.8) he makes per product (q)
