It is evident that most people speak Spanish; this is of limited significance to the language of historical context. Most of the Spanish words originated from Vulgar Latin that came from the Peninsula towards the south part of Europe; this, therefore, includes the modern Spanish and Portuguese.

The continuous of the Latin language was mixed with an Arabic dialect, which affected most parts of the standardized language. Therefore this led to an automatic increase in the vernacular in the southern regions of Spain.
