Find (f*g)(x) when f(x)=x^2-7x+12 and g(x)=7/x^2-16

Answer:

7(x - 3) / (x + 4).

Explanation:

(f*g)(x) = f(x) * g(x)

= (x^2-7x+12) * 7/x^2-16

= 7(x - 4)(x - 3) / (x + 4)(x - 4)

(x - 4) is common to top and bottom of the fraction, so it is

7(x - 3) / (x + 4).
