According to the statement the first temperature is -12 C, the temprerature rose 4 hours 5 C each hour, it means it rose (4x5) 20 C. At this point the temperature is (-12+20) 8 C and at the last the temperature goes down 3 C then the final temperature is (8-3)= 5 °C
