Answer:CH2

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide their percentages respectively by their atomic masses, take the least significant value to divide others. Eg

C has 88.14% an atomic mass of 12g/mol,

Hydrogen has 11.86% with atomic mass of 1g/mol.

C =88.14/12=7.345

H=11.86/1=11.86

Dividing through by the least number

C=7.345/7.345=1

H=11.86/7.345=2

Empirical formula therefore is CH2
