Option C

Answer:

The current flowing through the circuit is 5 A

Solution:

Given that resistance of an electric circuit is 12 ohms and the voltage in the circuit is 60 V.

We have to find the current flowing through the circuit.

By Ohms law, the relation between the resistance, voltage and current in the circuit is given as,

\bold{V=I * R} ---- eqn 1

where, V = voltage in the circuit

I = current flowing through the circuit

R = resistance of the electric circuit

From question given that, R = 12 ohms; V = 60 V

By using eqn 1, the current flowing through the circuit is given as

60 = I * 12

I = (60)/(12) = 5

Hence the current flowing through the circuit is 5A.
