Answer:

f(x)\cdot g(x)=-6x^3+19x^2-17x-2

Explanation:

Given : Functions
f(x)=(-3x+2) and
g(x)=2x^2-5x-1

To find : Evaluate
f(x)\cdot g(x) by modeling or by using the distributive property ?

Solution :

f(x)=(-3x+2) and
g(x)=2x^2-5x-1

Substitute in the expression,

f(x)\cdot g(x)=(-3x+2)(2x^2-5x-1)

Applying distributive property,
a(b+c)=ab+ac

f(x)\cdot g(x)=(-3x)(2x^2-5x-1)+2(2x^2-5x-1)

f(x)\cdot g(x)=-6x^3+15x^2+3x+4x^2-20x-2

f(x)\cdot g(x)=-6x^3+19x^2-17x-2

Therefore,
f(x)\cdot g(x)=-6x^3+19x^2-17x-2
