Most historians always talk about the popular movement that was started in 1892, where the popular parties were first organized. It is during this time the Omaha movement established the founding convention, which later set out the populist movement tenets.

The movement emerged as a result of crusades that were incorporated by the alliance of farmers, after receiving a preamble that had been drafted by different scholars. Most of the proposals were focused on the platform of Omaha about the progressive deal.
