3 is currently multiplied with y so it must be divided (division is the opposite calculation) from both sides to cancel it out from the “y” side and isolate y.

y3/3=27/3 —> y=27/3 —> y=9

Therefore, the answer is
y= 27 over 3

Answer:

A. 27/3

Explanation:

If y3 = 27

Then that means if you divide both sides by 3 you will get the value of y.

y3/3 = 27/3

y = 27/3

y = 9

So the first step is y = 27/3
