PLEASE HELP!! find the slope of the line-example-1

Hello :)

To find a slope of a line you can use the slope formula:
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

You are already given points (4,4) & (2,5).


x_1=4\\y_1=4\\x_2=2\\y_2=5

Plug them into the slope formula


(5-4)/(2-4) =(1)/(-2)=-(1)/(2) \\

So the slope would be
-(1)/(2)
