a. y = 3.

b. y = -2.

Explanation:

a. Parallel to y = 0 means parallel to the x- axis ( y = 0 is the x axis). The equation will be of the form y = something.

As it passes through the point (-3,3) it must therefore be y = 3.

b. Perpendicular to x = 0 means perpendicular to the y axis so the equation will be y = -2 (because it passes through (5, -2).
