Although male slaves did have a low social class, as long as you were male you would almost always have a higher social class than a female, unless the female was married to someone who had a high class or a good name. Male masters were considered a high social class, having enough money to own and buy slaves. Lastly, wives of male masters did have a higher than normal social class, as I stated before, if they were married to someone with a higher social class, they themself would also have quite a high one too.
