The perimeter of a convex pentagon is 15 feet. What is the effect on its perimeter if each side is doubled?

Explanation:

Let the length of all five sides of pentagon = v, w, x, y, and z.

Perimeter of pentagon = Sum of lengths of its all five sides = (v + w + x + y + z) = 15 feet

If each side of pentagon is doubles then,

New perimeter of pentagon = (2v + 2w + 2x + 2y + 2z)

= 2 (v + w + x + y + z)

= 2 (15)

= 30 feet

Therefore, if each side of pentagon is doubled then its perimeter will also be doubled.
