Answer and explanation:

The Research Pane is a tool featured in Microsoft Office Word that allows users to look for specific information in between pages without the need to scroll down the document. After entering par or the text or information desired to locate within the search box, that information will be displayed if exists in the document.

The research panel is one of the many options that Microsoft Office presents. In the case of Microsoft Word, you can find synonyms and antonyms, search for words in public dictionaries and translate words and texts. Also offers dictionaries, foreign language dictionaries and encyclopedias, as well as Internet searches, all available from within Word and the other Office programs as well. The research panel is like a mini library. It offers menus and buttons to direct a search in different directions.

To open the research panel you have to : press alt + left click on the selected word, phrase or name.

In the other Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint or Outlook, on the Review tab, in the Review group, click on Research.
