What is the connection between Mansa Musa
and Mecca?

Mansa Musa was known to be the richest man at the time. He was king of the mali empire. Being so rich he destabilized Africa’s economy, giving them free gold, etc. His relation to Mecca was that he elaborated his pilgrimage to the Muslim holy city of Mecca in 1324 introducing him to rulers in Middle East and Europe. Being a ruler of Mali he made the empire known for wealth.
