Answer:

The function is -2x - 2.

Explanation:

When x = 0 f(x) the dependent variable = -2.

So we have the linear function f(x) = mx - 2 where m is the slope of the line.

When x increases by 2 . f(x) decreases by 4 so we can make a table:

x f(x)

0 -2

2 -6

4 - 10

So m = (-10 - -6) / (4 - 2) = -4/2 = -2

The function f is -2x - 2.

ANSWER:

f(x)=-2x-2

This is because at 0, the function equaling -2 can be easily determined by adding a -2.
The first portion can be determined by simplifying 4 and 2 into -2. (Negative for the decrease)
