A parking space shaped like a parallelogram has a base of 17 feet and a height is 7 feet. A car parked in the space is 14 feet long and 5 feet wide. How much of the parking space is not covered by the car?

49 feet

Explanation:

To find the area of the parallelogram, we just need to multiply the base and height

7 x 17 = 119

Assuming the shape of the car is rectangular, we do the same: base x height

5 x 14 = 70

Now, we just subtract 70 from 119
