In the story "The Tail," Tasha is getting ready to enjoy her summer on her own. However, her mother tells her that she has to watch her brother all summer because she is going back to work.
As annoyed as Tasha is initially, caring for Junior does bring some benefits. Tasha becomes more responsible, as she now has duties she needs to take care of. She also becomes closer to Junior, and she learns to value her little brother.
On the other hand, caring for Junior also brings her some problems. She is unable to play with her friends as much as she wants. More importantly, when she gets distracted, Junior gets lost.
Depsite the problems, Tasha is able to find her brother and she becomes more responsible and appreciative of him. It seems like taking her of her brother is ultimately a positive experience for her.
